Acorn combines English and Putonghua playgroups with a PlayZone and Junior Chef cooking classes in Wong Chuk Hang. Backed by Mighty Oaks, it also has a café and spaces for families to spend time together between activities.
What we thought
Playroom visit
Wong Chuk Hang
18 months
Toddler
One of our favourite toddler play spaces: lovely wooden structures, with plenty at a small child’s scale.
What the space was like
Open-ended play in a soft-mat area
Slides, climbing and baby gym equipment
A baby kitchen, wooden wall toys and books
What we loved
The thoughtful toddler-sized equipment and fresh, beautifully put-together space
Enough choice for open-ended play without needing a class
What we noticed
We could move between activities at our own pace. This was a playroom visit, so we have not reviewed the teaching
Before you go
There was an on-site café and Eric Kayser downstairs
Ask about current under-one entry and whether playroom time comes with your class. We would like to try the bilingual or cooking sessions next
