Mandarin ran through the whole session, including the quieter moments of play

What we noticed

The teacher moved between children playing with their adults. Children could explore without joining every activity
The pace was quick, with almost continuous talking: lots of language to hear, less time to linger. This describes the teacher we saw; teachers rotate
